Cauliflower Stir Fry is made by either chopping the cauliflower into small pieces or breaking them down into small florets. I have tried both methods and they are equally good. Instead of using the spice powders mentioned in the ingredients list, you can also use kuzhambu powder while making this stir fry.
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons Oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Urad dal
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- 2 – 2 1/2 cups Cauliflower florets, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Fennel powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt or as needed
Preparation:
Heat oil in a pan or skillet over medium heat. Add mustard seeds. Once it pops add in the urad dal and allow it to brown. Add curry leaves followed by chopped cauliflower.
Cover and cook for about ten minutes or till the cauliflower turns tender. Stir in between so that it does not burn or stick to the bottom of the pan. Add red chilli powder, fennel powder, coriander powder and salt. Mix the spices through the cauliflower. Cook for another two minutes.
Take it off the heat and serve hot with rice and curry.
