Spicy pan-fried chicken is a dish in which the marinated chicken pieces are shallow fried in butter. I highly suggest that you marinate it overnight. The difference in taste is highly noticeable when compared to marinating it for a few hours. The fried chicken pieces can be used in preparing a salad or wrap as well.
Ingredients:
- 250 grams boneless Chicken pieces,
- 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon Garam masala
- 1 tablespoon Ginger garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons Curd/Yoghurt
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt or as needed
- 3 tablespoon Butter or more if required
Preparation:
Take all the ingredients except for butter and chicken in a bowl. Mix them into a smooth paste.
Add the chicken pieces and mix them through. Cover with a lid and let it marinate overnight in the refrigerator or at least a minimum of 4 hours.
Heat a tablespoon of butter in a skillet over a medium heat. Add few pieces of marinated chicken to the skillet with enough space between them so it is easy to turn. Cook for 3-4 minutes. It will start to brown. Turn it over with the help of a spatula or a fork and cook the other side. Transfer it to a bowl. Repeat till all the pieces are fried.
Serve this spicy pan fried chicken as a starter or as a side.
Notes:
- If you do not prefer butter, switch it with cooking oil of your choice.
- Be cautious regarding the heat of the pan. The spices may burn when the heat is high. So adjust accordingly while cooking.
