A healthy breakfast that you can prepare the previous night without worrying about it in the morning hustle. Okay. So I was not a fan of eating oats not very long ago. To be honest I have only tried the instant variety a few times and have never given a thought about these traditional or old fashioned oats. I came upon a few recipes and decided maybe I should try that. That is how I started experimenting with oats and this recipe is the easiest of them all.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Strawberries and Raspberries
- 1/2 cup Yoghurt(Greek/Plain)
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 1 teaspoon Honey or as required
- 1/2 cup Rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon Walnut, chopped
Preparation:
Take oats in a bowl and set aside. Wash and clean the berries.
Take the berries, yoghurt, milk and honey in a blender and blend it to a smooth consistency.
Pour it over the oats till they are immersed and mix them through. Smooth it out and pour the remaining mix on top of it. Cover with a lid and refrigerate overnight or for a minimum of four hours.
Add chopped walnuts as a topping just before serving.
Notes:
- The same way blueberries and blackberries can be used to make this recipe.
- Also, you can use just one variety of berries.
- And instead of walnuts, you can add any nuts that you prefer.
