Ingredients:
- 200 grams Button Mushrooms
- 1 tbspButter
- 2 tbsp Garlic, finely chopped
- 2 Green chilli, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- 1/4 tsp Salt or as needed
Recipe:
Clean and cut the mushrooms into halves or quarters.
Heat butter in a pan or kadai on a medium flame and add finely chopped garlic and green chillies.
Once the garlic gets roasted, add in the curry leaves.
Add the mushrooms and sauté them through the butter.
The mushrooms will start oozing out water.
Add salt and pepper. Mix them all together. Cover with lid and cook the mushrooms in its own water content for about 2 minutes. Take off the lid.
Sauté them until there is no trace of water left. The mushrooms would have been cooked and the edges would have started to brown.
Switch off the heat and serve pan fried mushrooms as a starter or a snack.
Notes:
- Make sure to clean the mushrooms properly. Get rid of any black spots and unwanted dust particles.
- Do not soak them in water. Just dip in water and wipe off the dirt.
- You can adjust salt and pepper as per your taste.
